help_outline General & Product-Wide FAQs
Do I have to use all three tools in order? expand_more
No. The recommended full path is Speaker Notes → slide deck → Handouts (handouts use the notes and slide deck together). Each tool also works on its own. Notes, Slides, and Handouts are all available now.
Can the AI make mistakes? expand_more
Yes. AI can misread intent, miss detail, or produce awkward wording or layout. Treat outputs as drafts you review. Clearer prompts and instructions (specific sections, goals, and constraints) usually produce better results.
What is the Session Workspace Hub and where are my files stored? expand_more
The Session Workspace Hub is your private workspace drawer (open it anytime via the folder icon in the top header) that keeps your drafts safely saved in this browser. Your drafts stay on this computer across page reloads and browser restarts until you click Clear all or clear your browser data. No account sign-in is required. You can reopen any draft with one click or convert work directly between tools. On a shared computer, simply click Clear all when you are done.
What happens if I leave or reload? expand_more
Hub drafts remain in this browser after reload until you clear them. Raw uploaded files and server-side processing cache are removed when the generation request ends. Always use Export to download your final files (Word, PowerPoint, PDF) or save them to Google Drive or OneDrive if you need a copy outside this browser.
How do I export or share my work? expand_more
Open Export on Speaker Notes, Slides, or Handouts. You can download the file (Word/PDF for notes, PowerPoint for slides, PDF for handouts), generate a share link valid for 24 hours, or save to Google Drive or OneDrive. File names include a product suffix so notes, slides, and handouts stay distinct.
How do share links work? expand_more
From Export, choose Generate link. Anyone with the unique URL can open a landing page and download the file for 24 hours. After that the link expires. Recipients do not need a PrezGo account. Only share links when you are comfortable with who can access the file.
record_voice_over Speaker Notes FAQs
What do Chat and Preview mean on mobile? expand_more
On smaller screens you switch between Chat (conversation, scope form, options, Send to Document) and Preview (print-size pages). Approved outline and notes show on Preview. After you approve something, open Preview to confirm it. Pinch to zoom and scroll to pan. On desktop, chat and preview sit side by side.
Do I set scope before I start chatting? expand_more
Yes. Fill in audience, presentation length, and/or presentation nature or tone under Before we draft the deck, then submit. Chat stays locked until you do.
Can I edit the table of contents after I approve it? expand_more
No. Adjust section titles and order in chat before you approve the ToC. Once approved, the outline is locked for that draft. Plan the structure carefully before sending to document.
Is slide generation available from Speaker Notes? expand_more
Yes. Generate → Slides exports your approved script as a `.docx` file and opens Slides Setup with your script pre-loaded as the source file. Generate → Handouts is also available.
layers Slides Generator FAQs
Is the first deck final? expand_more
No — it is a draft. Use Text Edit, Image Edit, Regenerate, chat, and Undo on View & Revise, then Export for PowerPoint. Clearer prompts usually produce better chat edits. Full guide: Slides Generator.
How do freeform text boxes and on-canvas images work? expand_more
Text Edit: change wording in place; Add a freeform box, drag to place, double-click to type, click outside to finish; lock keeps position on regenerate. Image Edit: add, replace, drag, resize; lock an image so regenerate refits text around it.
How do I add, reorder, or delete slides? expand_more
Thumbnail strip: drag the grip to reorder, X to remove (keep at least one), Add slide for a blank themed title + body with no AI wait.
What does Regenerate do? expand_more
Polishes the selected slide. With no local edits, refreshes layout and colors while keeping the title and deck design language. After you edit (move images, freeform text, etc.), it refits around those changes instead of wiping them.
What does Slide vs Deck scope mean? expand_more
Slide limits toolbar and chat ops to the selected thumbnail when supported. Deck applies broader changes across slides. Regenerate always targets the current slide.
Why aren't PowerPoint shapes individually editable? expand_more
Each exported slide is rendered as a clean full-bleed frame so that fonts, layout cards, and picture positions look identical across all devices and versions of Microsoft Office or Google Slides. To adjust text or layout, make your edits in PrezGo and export again in seconds.
description Printable Handouts FAQs
What does "use only my files" mean? expand_more
When Strict File Content Limit is on, the handout should only use information from your uploaded files — no external context.
How long does handout generation take? expand_more
There is no fixed time. It depends on file size, how many images are involved, and current traffic. A realistic range is about 3–15 minutes for most runs. Keep the tab open while it runs.
cloud_download Cloud Storage & Export FAQs
Does PrezGo store my Google or Microsoft account password? expand_more
No. You sign in directly through Google or Microsoft's official login popups. PrezGo never sees your password and only gets temporary permission to open or save the file you select.
What happens after a 24-hour share link expires? expand_more
Once 24 hours pass, the share link becomes inactive and the temporary download file is permanently purged from storage.
build Troubleshooting & Common Fixes
What should I do if slide or handout generation stalls? expand_more
Keep the browser tab active and avoid reloading. If generation takes longer than 15 minutes, check your internet connection or try reducing your uploaded document size (max 50MB).
Why did my uploaded document fail to parse? expand_more
Ensure your file is in standard `.docx`, `.pptx`, `.pdf`, `.txt`, or `.md` format and is under 50MB. Password-protected files or corrupted documents cannot be parsed.
Why am I seeing a browser leave warning when closing the tab? expand_more
PrezGo warns you when you have active, unsaved work. Because session data is cleared on tab close, click Export to download your file before leaving.
