tune Handouts Setup Preferences

  • Level of Detail: Choose Brief (high-level executive summary bullet points), Moderate (balanced paragraphs and key takeaways), or Comprehensive (deep detailed workbook coverage).
  • Strict File Content Limit ("Use Only My Files"): When enabled, the AI strictly uses information present in your uploaded source files without introducing external knowledge or concepts.
  • Inferred voice: Tone and audience are read from your notes and slides. Theme Tone is visual only (fonts and layout), not wording. Coming from Slides, the deck’s audience picker is not reused.
  • Event & Branding Auto-Extract: Automatically pull event names, presenter titles, and dates directly from your uploaded slides or notes.
  • Generation Time Notice: Generation usually completes in 3–15 minutes depending on file size and embedded images. Keep the tab open while the workbook builds.

cloud_download Cloud File Import & Privacy

On Handouts setup, click Add File to choose between This Device, Google Drive, or OneDrive. Notes as .docx and/or a slide deck as .pptx can be uploaded (max 50MB each). Either file alone is enough; uploading both is supported.

You sign in directly with Google or Microsoft to pick your file — PrezGo never sees your account password. Imported files are kept only for your current session.

edit_note View & Revise — Toolbar & Chat

  • Text Edit: The Edit button under Text. Type on the page. Select wording, then Header (Body or H1–H6) or Convert (bullets, numbers, bullet header, takeaway, callout, field note, quote). B, I, and Clear apply to the selection. A+ / A− follow the selection, or the whole handout when nothing is highlighted. Font pair is always the entire handout. Done keeps the live page breaks.
  • Image Edit: Drag any image (generated or added) to place it in the text, including onto another page. A bar marks the spot; release to reflow. Select an image and drag a corner of the frame to resize. + adds an image; Replace swaps the selection. × or Delete removes the selected image. To remove every image, ask in Chat.
  • Fonts & size: Font pair always applies to the whole handout. A+ / A− follow the selection when you have highlighted text. Image size is the selection frame.
  • Regenerate: Polishes the current page. With no local edits, refreshes layout and colors while keeping your words and theme. After you edit or lock items, it refits around them.
  • Colors: Ask in Chat for a mood or a part — titles, headers, bullet headers, callouts. There is no palette picker on the toolbar.
  • Undo: Toolbar icons or Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z. Skipped while you are typing in Chat.
  • Chat: Colors, tone, shorten/expand a named section. One clear goal per message. This page is selected by default. If you ask Chat to do something the toolbar already does, it will explain the control first (same how-to as this page).

chat Supported Chat Revisions

check_circle Supported Revision Requests

  • On-page edit: Text Edit (select text to format), Image Edit (add, replace, drag, resize).
  • Wording & Tone: Make text more formal, casual, executive, or simplified on This page or the whole handout.
  • Length Adjustments: Expand or shorten a section. Pages re-pack after Done or a successful chat edit.
  • Colors in Chat: Ask for any color or mood. Fonts and type size stay on the toolbar.
  • Regenerate: Refit the current page around locked boxes and images, or refresh a clean page.
  • Section Edits: Rename headings, adjust takeaway cards, and update cover fields.

cancel Not Supported

  • Translate the whole document into another language.
  • Crop, recolor, or photo-edit source image files directly.
  • Custom CSS code or external font file uploads (built-in themes ensure print-ready consistency).
  • Combining too many unrelated changes in a single message (step-by-step requests work best).

help_outline Handouts FAQ

What files can I upload for Handouts? expand_more
Notes as .docx and/or a slide deck as .pptx. Either file alone is enough; both is fine. Max 50MB each.
What can I set on Preferences? expand_more
Level of detail, strict file-content-only mode, event/branding fields (with optional AI extract), additional instructions, color palette, and Theme Tone (visual design only). Voice is inferred from your source. Then generate handouts.
What does "use only my files" mean? expand_more
When Strict File Content Limit is on, the handout should only use information from your uploaded files — no external context.
Is the first handout final? expand_more
No — generation produces a draft. AI can make mistakes. Use Text Edit, Image Edit, Regenerate, Chat, and Undo, then export PDF. Clearer prompts usually produce better results.
What does Regenerate do? expand_more
It polishes the current page. If you have not edited that page, it refreshes layout and colors while keeping your words and theme. If you moved images or typed on the page, it refits around those instead of wiping them.
How do I format selected text? expand_more
Turn on Text Edit and highlight wording. Then use H1–H6, or convert the body to bullets, numbers, bullet header, takeaway, callout, field note, or quote. Bold, italic, and A+ / A− apply to the selection. With nothing selected, A+ / A− and font pair apply to the whole handout.
How do I change colors? expand_more
Ask in Chat — for example “make titles teal,” “bullet headers gold,” or “warmer colors.” Format and image moves are faster in Text Edit / Image Edit; Chat will suggest that first.
Can the AI make mistakes in Handouts? expand_more
Yes. Drafts may omit points, misread tone, or place images poorly; chat edits can miss too. Review in Preview before you export. Specific instructions (section names, what to change, what to keep) usually work better than vague asks.
How long does handout generation take? expand_more
There is no fixed time. It depends on file size, how many images are involved, and current traffic. A realistic range is about 3–15 minutes for most runs — shorter for small, light files; toward the long end or beyond for large decks or busy periods. Keep the tab open while it runs.
What kinds of revisions work in Chat? expand_more
On-page Text Edit and Image Edit, wording and tone, shorten/expand, colors in Chat, fonts and size on the toolbar, Regenerate this page, image add/replace/resize/delete, cover fields, and section edits. This page is selected by default.
How do I export or share a handout? expand_more
Open Export for PDF download, a 24-hour share link, or save to Google Drive or OneDrive. Export before you leave — session work is not a permanent archive.
